In a documentary of the 70's (French TV)... There was a cavalry charge by the Regiment a cheval de la Garde Republican. The last French horse regiment. http://youtu.be/cOl4piWh2eA?t=1m26s |

The charge at Eylau is part of Le Colonel Chabert a film adaptation of a novel of Balzac http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=FR&hl=fr&v=slaNADrdPMA I think it's my favorite charge scene in a movie. The quiet music from Schubert with in the back the rumble of the horses galloping. ![]() |
