Riding like the wind the newly promoted Colonel Kling rallies his fellow Tirailleurs et Dragons to rescue the pretty redhead from the evil clutches of those not so nice Happy Hanoverians who recently re-acquired their stock of very bad tasting beer (they obviously have never had a Bud) and are like usual and shall I say, very nicely intoxicated! So Colonel and Friends slipped into their camp, collected the very happy to see them Juliet! Feeling sorry for the those Hanoverians the Colonel left them a not so pretty tied Prussian Officer Lugwig or something . And fortunately for all those who visit the Rhine Tavern this officer had a very bad cold and gave it to that Peccolo fellow, who at least for a little while, cannot sing! And as they rode out of site you could here them exclaim to those soon to be not so happy Hanoverians; "Merry early Christmas because we left you a wagon load of Buds!!!! (this was not an advertisement for anyone other than the Colonel Kling and his friends who may loose a battle or two, but when it comes to getting back their women they are exceptional! Napoleon may loose his Empire but the Pierre's Tavern will always be safe!) Oh! Battle On.......... |

Quote: Did he say a group of French entered the tavern and 'broke wind'? I think all that wind is coming form Bud drinking Hanoverians and one tied up Prussian! Besides, I do not think we had gas weapons during the Napoleonic Wars. Battle On......... |

"I didn't even know we had a 'Juliet'", replied the Hanoverian Commander to his trusted Jager commander better known as Der Wurger. "Ja, mein General", replied Der Wurger. "She vas a rather stunning redhead." "Hmmm, redhead, eh", mused the Brigadier. "I tell you honestly, Captain, we have so many beautiful women who are enthralled by our officers that I tend to lose track of them all. So the 'Sharpshooting Serpents of France' have a penchant for redheads, eh? Interesting. And you say they deposited the Prussian General Ludwig on our doorstep as well, trussed up like a Christmas goose? Oh, how embarrassing that must be. Well, by all means see to it that he is freed at once. I suppose we can crack open a few of those beers the Frenchies left behind. With enough of those in his system, he might even find it in his heart to forgive their indiscretion." "Jawohl, mein General", replied Der Wurger, "I vill see dat Herr Ludwig is untied und I vill share mit him der Bier, Ja? I vould sing him ein Leid, but mein throat ist ein bit scratchy at der moment." "Ah, my good Captain", said the Hanoverian Brigadier, "a scratchy throat is quite easily overcome. There is not a germ in the world that long survive a few shots of Jagermeister." ![]() ![]() ![]() |
