Greetings everyone! As the newest recruit into the Rhine Tavern, I've polished my buttons especially for the occasion. Pull up a chair and I'll buy you something fortifying. See my post in the other forum board if you'd like some fisticuffs ![]() I'm looking forward to the evening ahead! |

Outside, it was a crisp day. A few high clouds and sun. The temperature was such that one could ride a horse for hours with out it working up a sweat nor having to remove ones coat. In a tree near the Tavern door, a small bird had watched the Frenchman enter the building, then went about its business of looking for bugs, nice juicy cockroaches. It had to stop and look back towards the building as a roar came from inside...... Ah yes, Der Wurger must be in der Haus....... ![]() "Ach, Mein Gott!!!! Was ist Das!!" ![]() ![]() ![]() "Ja,ja, the dead of the Emperor is not so much, aber, the loss of perfume and rouge was just too much." ![]() ![]() ![]() "Well, if Herr LTC Kling can bear it, I'd sing you a Lied, aber, until then, lets Drink!" ![]() ![]() "Helga, Helga, meine Schotz, eins mehr fur mir!" ![]() "So, Welkommen mein Herr, come see me some time with a battle using HPS Liepzig or NRC" ![]() |

Welcome to the tavern, Lieutenant Warren. It is always good to see a French officer who is buying. I see you have met Der Wurger. He is a fine Jager officer with a marvelous singing voice, although...the Hanoverian Brigadier looks around the room at all of the French officers with cotton, stuffed ears...not everyone appreciates such fine vocals. ![]() ![]() ![]() No matter, we are all friends here within these walls, regardless of which law of rule we follow, legitimate...or not. ![]() ![]() ![]() You could do much worse than the company of two Hanoverians, although...he chuckles...I am not sure all of your French brothers would agree. I suppose we shall suffice until more of them can 'come to your rescue'. ![]() ![]() ![]() Helga, a bottle of the usual for me, and three shot glasses if you please. Would you care to join us for a shot of Jager, Lieutenant? It will put hair on your chest. Well, actually, no. It is really much more likely to remove such hair by incinerating the follicles from the inside out.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Welcome Lieutenant. I like your style. I see you've met the riff-raff. The Hanoverians being the riff and the Prussians the raff. Enjoy the target practice as they do seem to continually enjoy being humbled by the Grande Armee, a tradition, I've no doubt that you will continue. Cheers! |

Why Marechal Bardon, I am indeed honored, sir! I never thought that in a million years you would refer to me as humble. My demeanor must certainly be improving in your eyes. ![]() ![]() ![]() Helga, be a dear and bring the our newest, French Lieutenant a sippee cup and a bib. It would be a shame if he soiled his fine, new uniform with that grape juice he intends to imbibe. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
