Are you attempting to registered a same-army game as a Battle instead of a Maneuver? That happened to me awhile back, the error message was not very helpful.

Nay because there was so much involve in my transfer from the French Army to the Prussian army there seems to be a big problem. Now I been in the Prussian Army before Thanksgiving and only one game has been done! Still says "Fail to apply"!

Which part are you getting that at Cliff? Are you selecting from the drop down menu, those can be tricky....

Cliff, I cannot exactly see the problem that you are currently having. I will be glad to figure it out for you though. If you will send me the name of one of the games you are trying to register, which side you are playing, the name(s) of your opponents, and your current DoR Password, I will log into the DoR and see what problems I encounter in the registration of your game. You and I have done this many times before and, as you know, you can simply change the password again once I am finished to protect your access.

Is there any record of old NWC games retained anymore? The link on the NWC homepage to old games is no longer functional.

Make sure you don't have the old Clifton Seeney selected, there are two of you in the system now, though the inactive French one shouldn't show up unless you are a moderator.

Also, this page is altered by a plugin/virus on your system (it accesses page content via Internet Explorer API and adds links on the page that are not there). It doesn't show up for me. I have seen this already a few times.

The hint even suggests _you_ (the current Clifton Seeney account) does not participate in the battle and that's why you can't register it.

You forgot to press Add next to each selected officer. You have just selected them from the list, but not confirmed that choice. As it is the battle has no officers added to it yet.

Just a reminder to all, I invested quite a bit of my personal time to create illustrated instructions on how to use or DoR System. I posted those instructions here in the Rhine Tavern as a permanent notification so that all members could readily refer to them at any time. I also emailed them to every member of our club so that each of you would have your own personal copy. In addition, a copy of the document should be included in the Training Graduation email for every newly commissioned officer. I would hope that all of our Trainers would be addressing this material as well with their Cadets during the course of their training.

If anyone needs another copy of the DoR Instruction document, just let me know. I will be very glad to send one to you.

Yes, as a recent volunteer to the Ecole Militaire, I have just gone through the registration process of the games with my current recruit.

I will say that I myself often have problems with the add/apply buttons.
Being a near Luddite it is probably all my own fault, but there seems to be something counter-intuitive involved.

Oh yes, I know what it is - I also recently confirmed the start of a game (for whatever reason, I'm usually the one who starts this process, but not this time), and when I tried to confirm, it required me to add a comment.

Is that part really necessary? Apply/add should simply be it to this Luddite's POV.

Not trying to make a fit about this, just saw the thread and thought I'd throw my ten franc worth in.

And Mark, you absolutely did a great job with the instructions posted in the tavern and emailed.
Thank you for that hard work and effort.

Regards,
