Is the Strength quoted at the start of a scn. the opening "on map" strength or the final strength when all reinforcements have arrived? |

What I've done is open a scenario in 'hot seat' mode and click through the turns not moving a thing, just adding the reinforcements when appropriate. Depending on the scenario, it can take a bit of time, but I don't know any other way. Using the scenario editor is another method, but way more complicated. |

Salute! Another way that is quicker than clicking through turns and adding the reinforcements is this: If the scenario is not a Campaign scn (that requires PBEM mode = hotseat), you can open a Main Menu scn as normal mode thereby able to see both sides, including their reinforcement schedules. You will find that the basic game will come with Oob scenarios, that show all of the forces engaged in either the individual battle or for the whole game, their strengths and commanders. You can then reference the officers typically listed in the reinforcement schedule to determine the total strength levels that will be involved. This is certainly quicker than clicking through the whole game, I think. Regards, |

Todd, Your method requires opening multiple files and doing math, and you have to make sure the oob was completely used with units at full strength. Could have some errors. Not sure it will be faster. |

Some of the games have an oob scenario at the end of the scenario list that is basically all of the units in the game lined up all pretty on the map. This can help you easily access the strength of the different formations. It is alos good for unit ID of the enemy... |

Salut! The other way to count total strength in scenario, especially while it is very long is to open it in scenario editor. In the menu "Units", select "Scheduled", then use the "Modify" and set the time for the arrival of reinforcements for the first turn of our scenario. Then save the script with a new name, IMPORTANT!, Close editor and open a new battle as a game and use options "Arrived' in the first turns to put all of reinforcements for both sides. Similarly, you can do so by using, in the scenario editor, instead of the option "Modify" the option "Delete". Reinorcements are now available in "Dialogue Unit" small window and put them on the map, anywhere. After all we have shown in the "Info" total strength for this scenario and we do it using only scenario editor. At the end, we can write changes or not, but if so we have to rename this file. For 090 scenario of Leipzig Campaign, 353 turns with lots of reinforcements, the second way takes me around 20 minutes. |

Look up the battle in question on Wikipedia? |

Andrew. Wikipedia would work for Historic Battles only. Perhaps worth putting both initial and final values in the drop down menu. |
