I just wanted to post a note thanking my good friend Mark Jones for his efforts as our president.

He is not perfect my friends but he is totally committed and passionate about this club and I for one 100% support him even if I only 90% agree with him on everything.

Has he made the odd mistake, well yes perhaps. Is he a top bloke though with a robust intellect? Well thats a big HELL YES.

Also those French players who run into this guy had better be ready he is a fine player. I have not played him for a bit and he has promised to hand me my 'derrières' in due course in revenge for when I ambushed him as a junior officer. He did have the temerity to challenge me though. Which is something I admire!! I can remember challenging Muddy as a Colonel....

Indeed Mssr Fredel is perhaps going to hand me my 'derrières' before Mark can. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: .

Anyhow happy easter to you Mark you and your family have my warm regards and I extend the same to all my friends in the club! You all have my best wishes.

Even if I am pretty new here and I still do not know all of you, I would like to thanks Mark as well because he is teaching me a lot of things during our MP game! :D

OK, OK, Colin don't be hungry. So far, I can drink my marvellous usual wine : the Sauterne 8) ... Helga, ... a bottle of Sauterne for Collin and the red uniforme officer ! :mrgreen:

Always approachable, passionate in his approach to the club and his regard for each member, an exceptional officer and skilled warrior. Cheers!

One could almost overlook his glaring Hanoverian flaws. :P

I cannot picture it. Some concepts are nearly impossible to grasp. :| :) :D

The truth is that there is a Hanoverian Guardsman that patrols these battlefields in search of the opportunity for the single shot that will end the Ogre's depredations against all mankind... :x :evil: :twisted:

...but that officer is not this Club's President. He is, in fact, the Chief of Staff of the mighty Anglo-Allied Army, and his coat is indeed a magnificent shade of crimson. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

The civilian that was elected by the members of this club to serve wears no such coat, and knows no such allegiance. That civilian is a member of our club just like, and certainly no better than, any other member of our club. In his eyes, every one of us is a kindred spirit, a fellow gamer, and a person of great value. All of us are equals, although each of us is invaluably unique. :D :D :D

Thank you for the appreciation of my efforts for our club that the few of you have here expressed. Your kind words stand starkly in contrast to what I have grown more accustomed to seeing as of late, and every one of them is greatly appreciated. :wink: :o :mrgreen:

Which is not to say that the Hanoverian in me will ever cease to honorably capture every baton, standard, and sword that a Frenchman would raise against the divine right of legitimate rule. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

The Civilian loyally serves the Membership; the Hanoverian unfailingly serves his King; both sincerely appreciate all of the officers of the NWC, whatever country they choose to represent. Honor knows no national boundaries. :) :D :P

I hope that each of you spent a wonderful Easter Holiday with your friends and families. :wink: :P :mrgreen:
