It would seem that my French counterpart has mistaken my bottle of Jagermeister for that fruit juice that he routinely swills. ![]() ![]() ![]() Those dang Frenchies never have learned how to hold their liquor. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, well for my part I am very glad that Marechal Bardon and you have your hands full. It keeps you out of trouble. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There are only three gentlemen who have claimed my sword to date. General Knox and Marechal Bardon hold my first and third swords respectively. The person who still holds my second sword was the recently departed Marechal Jensen who had a perfect record of fifteen Major Victories before he and Marechal Palomo crossed paths with Sir Muddy and me. I now have Marechal Jensen's sword which had to date never been touched by a Coalition officer's hand. I will trade his weapon in exchange for my own, if he ever returns that is. As I understand it, the Corsican Roach the you call an Emperor was so incensed by the defeat of two of his most vaunted Marechals at the hands of a British Field Marshal that can barely control his own horse, and a drunken Hanoverian mercenary, that he deported both of them to Iberia with orders that they could not return until they had permanently quelled the 'local insurgency'. ![]() ![]() ![]() I am sure that one day the two Vieille Gaurdsmen and I will cross swords again, probably to the great fatigue of all parties so involved. Until that day arrives, I am quite content to share a drink with them, or anyone else that can abide me, in this cozy tavern that I so dearly love. ![]() ![]() ![]() Can I interest you in a shot of Jager, General Schmidgall? I cannot promise that it will actually put hair on your chest, but it is certain to dissolve a portion of your esophagus in its passage to your stomach. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Salute! It is always a pleasure to share a libation with you, sir. The Tirailleur officer looks with some suspicion at the proffered glass of Jager, and then downs it in a fell, swift shot. Argh, ahem, yes, I see what you mean about the burning sensation. Regards, |

The Hanoverian officer watches with great interest as his French companion takes the proffered glass. His eyes widen ever so slightly as GdD Schmidgall tilts back his head and consumes the fiery libation in one, smooth gulp. ![]() ![]() ![]() "You know", says the crimson coated Guardsmen, his face broadening into a wide grin as he refills the French General's glass, "you have become a very fine officer, misguided in your allegence of course, but a very fine officer none the less". ![]() ![]() ![]() "Helga, my dear, please bring us a bottle of your finest wine that we may share as well to cool the fires that the Huntsmaster ignites. After all, I would hate to see this fine French officer spontaneously combust. That would certainly be a tragic loss for all". Salute! |

The Tirailleur accepts the refilled glass and with nary a hesitation swallows it down as well, though his face does take on the color of the Jager bottle this time. However, hearing der Hunter order a bottle of fine wine brings the life back into his face. Thank you sir, for the kind remarks. And Helga, some bread and cheese to go with the bottle when you bring it. He smiles and adds, It will help to settle the stomach... I hope... won't it? Regards, |
