Sirs, It is with deep regret and with suitable humility I report that tonight I offered my sword to both FM Moss & Marchal Bardon. Two positives from this. 1. I learned a lot from losing. 2. I actually only had one sword so they will have to fight over it ![]() |

Ensign, salute! Good sir, there is no shame to be had in losing one's sword to the likes of Marechal Bardon and FM Moss. I have lost my sword several times to der Jager (who yet drinks his infamous liquor from a crystal shot glass I gave him in tribute for one hard earned schooling) and sundry FM's. The most important thing (which you already pointed out)is that you are learning. I believe one's game can improve by leaps and bounds when you engage those of great skill, whether friend or foe. So ensign Barrett, here is to your graduation from the real thing, and may you find your way back upon the battle maps! Regards, |

I have lost so many swords and batons to the allied rabble that the Emperor has a sword smith on staff just for me and my batons are now just pieces of wood I find laying about ![]() |

Marechal Corbin, did we ever cross swords in the past and do you play the Matrix/Battleground games? |

Ensign Barrett, you have surrendered your sword to two of the finest Generals to ever step upon the field of battle. There is absolutely no dishonor in the act, so long as you refrain from slinging your sword at them while fleeing the field. There is never any dishoner in an honorable surrender which your opponent has compelled you to offer. In truth, stepping upon the field to face them was a very brave act, and one that brings honor to your name in and of itself. You are a credit to your uniform, sir, and I will gladly buy you a consolation round of your favored libation. ![]() ![]() ![]() And General Schmidgall has never actually "lost" a sword to me, although there have been a few instances when he did seem to 'misplace' his weapon for a brief period of time. Just long enough for me to register it into the AAA Records before polishing it and returning it to its rightful owner. I do not make it a habit to retain the swords of honorable adversaries, and I find General Schmidgall to be a most honorable officer indeed. ![]() ![]() ![]() Now Marechal's batons are an entirely different matter.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Remember Ensign Barrett, you may lose the battle, but don't lose the lesson. This is the path to the improvement of your martial prowess. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Oh Mr Bardon can have it, I have plenty. And besides, it's only a little sword at the moment. |

I do believe I have a few Moss swords around somewhere Ensign Barret I may even have a Bardon one somewhere. We all lose them at some stage sir so don't worry. Jeka still has mine stashed away somewhere with the MOE4 trophy in depths of holy mother Russia. Helga a round here for all these fine gents! |

Andy, it would take years for me to amass as many swords as you. Of course by then you'll have doubled your tally, so I'll just sit back, doff my overly plumed bearskin cap and <salute>. As regards to the good Ensign Barrett, I commend this gentleman as a promising officer, willing to take on challenges and face long odds, such as Ligny Unleashed, but I fear that anything I have shown him is only to the detriment of my compatriots. ![]() Cheers! |
