Gentlemen Officers of All Armies:

As the Commanding Officer of the Hanover and Brunswick Brigades, it is my great privilege to publically recognize the achievements of the officers serving under my command. Please join me in a toast to the following Anglo-Allied officers who have earned Promotions in Rank for their active participation in our fine army and club:

Brigadier Zafer Ejder – Brunswick Brigade, Death Head Hussars - Promoted to Major General

Lt. Colonel Omar Quatar – Brunswick Brigade, Leib Battalion – Promoted to Colonel

Lt. Colonel Tom Phillips - Hanoverian Brigade, Foot Artillery, Rettburg Battery - Promoted to Colonel

Major Mike Peccolo - Hanoverian Brigade, Field Jager Company - Promoted to Lt. Colonel

Lieutenant Scott Clawson - Hanoverian Brigade, Field Battalion Verden - Promoted to Captain

There was much happiness in the Rhine Tavern. :D Officers showing off trophies of battle, old friends meeting again and sharing a drink and a bite to eat, why, even the cat Josephine was busy rubbing up against the legs of her more favorite officers. There was a small bird in the lemon tree out front, it danced about the branches and was sharpening it beak. The sky was blue, with just a few puffs of clouds scattered here and there, a falcon circled high up, there was a bit of a breeze, and with it was a sound. :?

At first it was so very faint and many who had heard the roar of cannon fire could not discern the sound. But, out back, on the wall, a rodent was headed towards the building and stopped, reared up on his haunches and sniffed the air towards the direction of the sound. Some may have said they saw the rodent smile as he resumed his journey at a quickened pace and disappeared thru a hole by a window. The sound continued to grow and soon, even the most deafened campaigner could hear the sound :lol: , the sound comping from a lone figure riding slowly toward the tavern. :?

But the sound did not come from the smiling rider, oh no, it was coming from his mount :o , the most famous singing mount of that good time officer that everybody loves. Yes mein Kinder, Der Wurger has arrived at the Haus. :D :D

Danke, danke, …ja, ja, he ist ein wunderbar mount. (O, le o le.... O, le o le...) Ja, gibt him some und Wasser und he will quiet down. He is very happy that Herr Kling has been made a General (Ah, o lay dee whoooo….). :lol:

My, my es ist sehr quiet heir. :x Was is los my friend. :? Have you been sad that I haf been avay? Vell, I am heir jetzt! Trinken fur alle! I have new batches of French wine. Trinken! :D :D

Ein, zwei, drei… G’suffa! :D :roll:

Was are you laughing at?!? :? Oh, ja, das. Ja, ich habe mein ass verloren at Leipzig. :oops: Aber, jetzt, mein neuer ass is im the stables, zo, alles ist gut. Helga, Helga! Du bist sehr schon! :wink: Mehr Beir hier, Bitte! :D .... Ach, sehr gut, danke schon! :D

So, we muss ein Leid singing, es ist too quiet..... :roll:

I need a drink, and while the new Lieutenant Colonel is very friendly sort of fellow, and a formidal opponent in battle. I am sorry to say, I need lots of wine and may be some Jagermiester to endure his singing!

Jagermeister, Herr Kling! Why I thought you would never ask. I will wager that you will be singing duets with Herr Wurger in no time. :shock: :wink: :mrgreen:

Although I have given the good Jager Colonel his new uniform, it would appear that he has forgotten to change his coat. :o :shock: :wink:
