May it be known that on this day and moving forward the Monarchs of the Allied Coalition, in consultation with various commands, have appointed Generalmajor Ian Herzog Hames von Falkenberg as the new Commander of the Combined Austro-Prussian-Swedish Army.

It is also further noted that Generalmajor Ian Herzog Hames von Falkenberg has been chosen by the government in Berlin to serve as the permanent Oberbefehlshaber der Preußische Armee (Commander of the Prussian Army).

Ian has been a longtime member of the Club since June of 1998, so it is fitting on his 15th year anniversary that he should be awarded such commands that he richly deserves for his years of dedication to the Club & Prussian Armee.

I served as the Commander of the Combined Austro-Prussian-Swedish Army since 2011 and in this time stabilized the Austrian Armee, revamped it greatly and it is growing at an excellent rate. The Swedish Army was added into the Club and has two very good officers in it right now. Finally the Prussian Armee continued to excel as it always has since the old days, built upon the traditions of our former leaders. Ian knew who they were and I feel will continue to uphold many of what they and we have come to value in our Armee.

All three forces have benefited from a centralized command and clearing house, offering communication, improved services and awards/honors and a good sense of identity for what are the Clubs smallest armies. It has all been for the benefit of the Club at large.

Ian will be assisted by a great staff and support of our fine Club Cabinet. He will also take over the work of the websites, something I hold dear to my heart. I have spent countless, countless hours on them, shaping them in some cases from nothing into what they are today. I am proud of the fact that the Prussian Armee is the only Club website to have all of its records completely intact and handed down from one webmaster to the next. No other Club Armies has a full scope of its history the way the Prussians do. Now with it placed on the Club servers that access to information can live on. It is no doubt that Ian and his staff will do a fine job managing it for years to come.

I hope that everyone will support Ian in his new venture and that the officers of the three Combined Armies will help ensure Ian has a successful leadership.

I relinquish all commands now.

Three Cheers for Ian! Drinks on me! :D

I'll poke my head in from time to time John and drop you a line.... 8)

Did anyone hear FREE DRINKS! Come up and congratulate Ian and get a FREE DRINK! :)

Little more about Ian's service, I checked the records and he is the oldest serving Prussian Armee member, having joined shortly after the Club was formed.

He spent most of his career in command of the 6. Infanterie-Regiment (Westpreußisches). In April 2011, he was promoted to command of the 2. Infanterie-Brigade, I. Armee-Korps. I don't have the exact date but sometime in 2012 he was appointed to the Der Preußische Armee Generalstab (The Prussian Army General Staff) as the Adjutant-General der Preußische Armee (Adjutant General of the Prussian Army). In January 2013 he was named the Interim Oberbefehlshaber der Preußische Armee (Interim Commander of the Prussian Army). Now he has been appointed to his new commands.

Sidenote - Ian is only the 4th Commander of the Prussian army since the Club has been formed.

Ian is currently moving his home this weekend in real life, though I am sure will join us soon.

FREE DRINKS!! FREE DRINKS!! :)
