Officers of the La Grande Armée, Salute
The NWC/La Grande Armée Muster is completed with the 95 active officers in the LGA. We lost 33 officers from the rolls and many of these officers have not been with us actively participating in our fight against the forces of the Coalition for sometime. The Empereur Napoleon will welcome any and all of these officer back, whenever they wish is to return. We are sorry to say we lost 3 Maréchals and 1 General that did not muster. We also had 2 Maréchals and 1 General request to be put in reserve and made inactive for the present. All these officers with long histories with the La Grande Armée will be honored on our web page Hotel d'Invalides Impérale. With respect we wish them well and look to their return! We will most likely look at reorganizing some of the Corps in the future because of the new vacancies. The officers that have not mustered will not be removed from the LGA web pages until after the 15th of August. If you see any errors or omissions please let us know so we can make any needed corrections. There is a new forum "The Reading Room" which was recommending by our Commandant Maréchal John Corbin and approved by the NWC Cabinet. Please visit it with your own input and pick up tips on great books on the Napoleonic Era. Looking forward to many battles and victories for La Grande Armée by our lean mean fighting machine! Unlike the officers of the tardy coalition who buy their way into their commissions. Thank you again General Kling your services to our beloved LGA are superb and much appreciated. |

As the Club President, I wholeheartedly echo the sentiments expressed by General Knox. ![]() ![]() ![]() As a Hanoverian officer, I assure you, I came by my commission honestly. No money whatsoever exchanged hands, but a lot of French swords, batons, and baubles did. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Our Hanoverian General is so pompous and full of himself, but alas, he did come by his promotion by defeating and killing many of our Empereurs finest! So make sure your sharpshooters and skirmishers have a nice picture of him and they don't miss!!!

Sharpshooters? French Sharpshooters?? I was always told that a Frenchman couldn't hit a "Bull in the ass with a bass fiddle". On the off chance that they might actually hit their targets, by some very large stroke of luck, I am sending you the attached, charcoal rendering so that they may make a proper identification of the man whom they need to kill.... ![]() |
