Curious about when one recieves a promotion to the next rank once you have accumulated enough points? Is there a certain procedure to this or time? Sorry to be so forward but after 14 years in the club (in the Prussian and now French armies, re-registered back in 2003 to the forums since I lost my info), I have finally earned enough points for a promotion (I know, sad isn't it? lol). I guess you can say I am eager and long overdue lol Thanks!

I wonder, does this make me the longest running Lieutenant in the club? lol

I believe you need to marry that ugly daughter of your commanding general if you have any chance at advancement. And then volunteer for every dangerous mission available.

I realize that most of our young officers are eager to see their promotions and medals placed on the respective army webpages in a timely manner. I have seen this take 1 - 4 months in the past, and it is something that I have railed against for nearly two years now.

We are instituting a new system for the webmasters of the armies and our club. All medals and promotions will be posted on the Army Webpages within two weeks of their occurance. I have been told that I am unreasonable and crazy. I assure you that I am neither. What I am is dedicated, interested, and paying attention.

Al, please see to it that Lt. Carter receives the recognition he has earned. I am not certain whether or not John has returned from China and, in any case, John does not have the skills to update the army webpages.

Lieutenant Carter achieved the necessary points for promotion on 07-25-2013 and I do not think he has waited all that long and maybe an email to commandant of his corps and the commandant of the LGA would have served just as well. Considering we have officers through out the NWC that are still waiting for medals and promotions. Seven days?

Salute!

I have always made it my habit since joining the club and having been instructed formally and informally on the role of musters, to keep my Corps commander updated as to my ongoing and completed battles and maneuvers.

I never assumed that there were officials monitoring the DoR on a daily basis for all of the most recent information on all of the players we have in this club.

Well, I know there must be at least one such official who does an incredible job of beginning and ending registered battles :)

However, I did presume that it was my role to inform my direct superiors about my game status information, which would in turn assure that any medals and points - and rank would follow suit. 8)

It has also been my experience through several years of LGA mustering that the GHQ consistently issued bulletins concerning officer awards in points and ranks. :)

Regards,

My apologies to all of the Coalition officers. Due to some developments today, I did not get to complete the placement of the SON Tournament Medals and Ribbons on the Army Webpages as intended. I will make another attempt tomorrow night to get this done.

I also encountered a problem with the manner in which the medal is displaying on the webpages. I need to do some work on the graphic to clean it up the way I envision it should look. I thought I had it correct, but these dang computers can be tricky until properly waterboarded to make them compliant.

Is waterboarding the same as snowboarding Mark? If so I am totally happy for you to delay a little while these said technologies or indeed individuals are punished.

Snowboarding is undoubtedly related to waterboarding, my dear General, only it occurs at a lower temperature. :P

Why 14 years is almost as long as Tim Cavallin has been a "cadet"!! In all seriousness I do hope the matter is resolved for you soon. :D
