Congratulations, Mike. Looks like the Cossacks delayed your medal deliveries. A shame for you Frenchmen, I do admit...

...but it is probably best that you get accustomed to the idea.

Cossacks are never useless, my friend. I am certain that Marechal Palomo would now attest to that as a fact were he still present to do so.

Why is it that Al had so much to do in this regard? I know that he has the French medals current now, but why did he literally have to catch up for years of neglect? What did LGA Command do before the arrival of Al?

Wouldn't you agree that the current system is far superior to the former system? It is the responsibility of all leaders in our club to actively lead. I am certainly proud of Al. I hear very good things about your leadership of III Corps as well. A great many people are resistant to change, but change is inevitable, and can be a very good thing if performed with foresight and vision.

The French medals should never have been neglected so long. It speaks to a lack of leadership and devotion to the officer's of the army by their leaders. It also speaks to a great complacency in the army itself. The rank and file should have stepped up and protested the lack of medal awards long ago. It is my hope that the lesson has been learned. Every member of our club has a responsibility to help make it better. The leaders have the responsibility to make it great. We have come a long way, but there is still a road before us that must yet be traversed before this club will truly excel and grow.

Take very good care of Al, my friend. Some assets are simply too valuable to lose. There are several more across the board as well.
