Greetings Lieutenant Paoli, I asked a similar question in Pierre's Tavern a few days ago entitled New Game Selection, you may find it helpful if you haven't already read it. I have Jena-Auerstaedt as well as Austerlitz. I think Jena is a great game! It has over 30 scenarios in the Campaign Game in addition to the over 90 listed in the regular game selection area. I may be mistaken as I am new to the club, but it may not be easy to get Allied opponents to play Jena. I have been informed by another French officer and have been discovering for myself that the Allied officers tend to shy away from the game. I do not know why as the Prussian army appears to be a formidable force with plenty of good quality troops and way too much high calibre cavalry. There are also screnarios with Russian troops present as well. If that isn't enough, the French have some tough victory conditions to meet, some as high as 3,000 points for a minor victory without any objective hexes to help your total! Maybe the Allies are just too heavily booked with battles or maybe I need to change my deodorant, but I haven't had much luck getting opponents for Jena. ![]() ![]() |

Hi Michel, Definitely the famous year 1813! The fall campaign (Leipzig - you own) and spring campaign (Bautzen - you don't have yet). The Grand Army enters into the grounds Saxony, Lusatia and Silesia. Napoleon, as he was at St. Helena, regretted that in June 1813, weren't went further, from the fortress - city Breslau (Wrocław), to the Duchy of Warsaw! History can be changed! Try it! ![]() Ps. Since you already have 1812, 1813, 1815. Get these the 1806 Jena - Auerstaedt and the 1809 Eckmühl. First, big campaign on large map, above 500 turns. Second, Eckmühl and Wagram campaign in one. |

If I may suggest Eckmuhl is a good game, the oldest and decently refined. Also, I don't own it, but gets a lot of play, is Austerlitz. If you order a CD version of something do it from the Naval Warfare Store, great prices and good shipping too: http://yhst-12000246778232.stores.yahoo.net/naba.html Jena is not favored by the Allies, though I know a few that play it. It has an ok patch now, but had a bad second patch to the game that was out for a while that created a heavy favor for the French and that fizzled a lot of peoples interest in the game..... |

Bautzen is a good title as it also includes a fair number of small battles between Swedes and Russians. |

Bautzen is good as that potentially gives you the opportunity to play the full 1813 campaign ....although I have never progressed past the first scenario. Second is Eckmuhl as Scott suggests. Of the rest I'd rank Austerlitz third with Jena and Wagram as my least favoured games. One reason why Jena was not favoured by the allies was that a patch made the French almost unrouteable. This has now changed as I understand it although I've not checked it myself. |

Invasion of England!!! ![]() ![]() We may have to put Age of Sail as a game to be played. Captian's Hornblower, Ramage, & Bolitho vs what folks Nappy can scare into ships. The Spanish fleet .... who's side will it fight for ??? |

Makes no difference who Spanish fight for as they always end up on the sea bed anyways! ![]() |

Well Britain taking anything into it's Navy was an issue, especially for the Americans. What gang signs did the Press Gangs use? And you know that the sea bottom is a better looking place thanks to the Spanish fleets! We do what we can every where we go .... |
