21 October 1806 - Napoleon has embarked upon a bold plan of campaign. He marches through Strausland in hopes of bringing the Allies to battle on favorable terms. His staunch cavalry commander, Murat, is sent ahead to reconoiter the situation but instead partakes of a wild ride around the Allied armies assembled to the east. Thus Napoleon is out of touch with the situation for a full 48 hours. Meanwhile, the Prussians are trying to keep pace with Napoleon's march around their right flank. With the Russians marching over from Hauptstadt, Brunswick knows that he must hold off Napoleon until reinforcements can arrive. His wing has to buy time for the rest of the Allies to assemble and bring their superior numbers to bear. And thus as Ney's corps marches down the Augustburg road to destiny the stage is set for one of the most famous battles of lore - Karlsburg!

The semaphore station reports that the Tirailleurs et Dragons! may have found a noble opponent to face them upon this battle map - at a distant encampment a cadre of officers gather, pledging their swords to the conflict at hand.

The Spanish Brigade picks up this challenge, the team is formed by Luife del Pino and myself in this exciting fight scene against the French enemy.
I know that we will be supported by the rest of the Spanish Brigade, there are great officers, Richard, Fernando and Michael.

Regards.

Hmmmm, I was just handed a correction from a messenger. The Frenchman erred when he said semaphore station. He meant a pinafore station as there was to be a to do in the French encampment and they wanted to look their best ....

( Oh yes, that was fine Spanish mud thrown on those white pantaloons you wear, yon Francois ..)

Sir, it is not that we want to look our best, but simply that we always look our best... :)

Pinafore... Pinafore.... Ah yes it would be a great title for a comic Opera about the British Navy
