Gentlemen, can anyone remember the name of the thread that was running during the voting period of the new rules. I know it was only a few weeks ago and maybe I have fallen off my horse one too many times but I can't find it. I want to read it for some research I am doing. You will remember it for all of the fuss over what constituted a "no" vote.

thank you

Are you talking about this one: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13811 ?

No there was one that was mainly about what a "no" vote consisted of. They tried to force members to give reasons and solutions if they voted "no" and they backed down when members wouldn't accept that...it was quite funny in spots...thanks anyway :D

Salute!

Marechal Johnson, perhaps you refer to the thread called Voting for Club Rules initiated by Marechal Corbin.

Yes that's probably it but I can't find it anywhere, would you have a link?

Salute!

I believe that there were such a number of considered rude and antagonistic comments made within that infamous thread that the Cabinet member tasked with deleting the most offensive posts accidently deleted the entire thread.

Thank you for that. Would the Cabinet or The President care to confirm the existence or non-existence of this thread? I was under the impression that posts may be removed from general viewing but a permanent copy was kept.

The thread was deleted as it contained many comments that were inflammatory.

Well that's good to know and witness being put on record today. At least it can never be used against anyone in the future since it no longer exists.....anywhere. :D

John informed the Cabinet that he had accidentally deleted that thread on February 24th.

Unlike you, I did not find anything to be "quite funny" about it at all, not even in spots. The thread was an embarrassment for many of the participants, and not anything that should ever be repeated. Such conduct should never have occurred in our public forums. John correctly characterized the thread as "inflammatory".
