My apologies for the delinquent turn around rate on my turns. I have been in a constant state of work and entertaining of visitors to my warm home in Barbados for the past couple weeks or so. Also, the internet connectivity and email can get a bit sketchy down here (my email has been down for last couple days).

I promise to get my turns out back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for not giving up on me, and I apologize again for not emailing each of you much sooner!

Talk soon! :)

Tim

Yeah, a local insurance company gave me an offer I could not refuse (I am an Actuary). I left Canada to move here at the beginning of November, and wouldn't luck have it that I escaped the worst Canadian winter in around 40 years!

Of course, moving to Barbados comes with certain responsibilities (i.e. entertaining winter beaten Canadian friends and family, lots of socializing, eating and drinking, then trying to function properly at the office the next morning, etc etc)

:D :D

Hope you are doing well Ed.

I guess Canada got some of what Europe should have gotten, I can't remember witnessing such a warm winter, even some flowers that should not get going before Spring start their first moves in our "Winter".

My last utility bill was $1,150 (mid Atlantic US, mid-Feb to mid-March). I had so much snow on my roof I turned my heat way up (way meaning 3-4 degrees higher than usual) to get it to melt faster. Well I suppose that was cheaper than having the roof collapse. It was making strange sounds, very strange sounds.

Oh to count the times I found myself on the roof...

... shoveling the snow off...

Hmm, Barbados is it? :)

Snow? Even though we got more than average (I think 7-8 feet in total), it was still less than last year. The oddest thing was the sheer number of days where it was too cold to snow.

Tim, very good winter to miss. I am glad it worked out for you to have that opportunity, but I have to admit that I just can't quite bring myself to feel too badly for your current plight.
