Here is the first installment of some of my pet peeves about the Napoleonic Era. I welcome you to share yours as well. :) :D :P

Austrian Uniforms

Who in their right mind would go into battle in a white uniform? Not only is the battlefield a very dirty place, but the first guy that gets hit is going to demoralize the entire army. :o

At least in a dark blue, red or nearly black uniform, you can bleed to death with dignity without scaring the bejesus out of all of your buddies.

Salute!

The god's eye view and telepathic unit communication upon the battle maps.

At The Little Solder (a game shop in Wheaton MD c. 1975) they used to refer to them as Hapsburg Mice, or Austrians, the Other White Meat.

French players that insist that fighting with A++ Morale Guard against E Morale Conscripts is balanced.

Yes and the correct way of things, also I believe this only one title where the allied army outnumbers the French 2-1 ;-) ;-)

No French player should ever complain about numbers when they have Nap to Command them Murat to run the Cav the best Artillery. When they form mini tanks in the battle field and say stop the game let me look at the reply, I can see Nap now hey Ney stop the battle and replay. The best troops and I been beat many times with 2to 1 odds ask the Commander of the Red lancers. Put your Artillery inside Guard squares and watch the numbers fall. Attacking with AAAAAAAA+++++ Guard Cav vs Prussian DDDDDEEEE----- Cav, most I go on oh waiting a month for a game. If that makes me a cry baby stick and stone might brake my bones but words will never hurt me. Oh did I say that am playing 13 games and 2 MPG 8) 8) 8)

A new Pet Peeve. Using artillery in line to hide your batteries from the Russian '12pdr position batteries at Borodino.
Ie you fire then move the infantry to the front. Bloooody clever but very annoying. Well it was for Jim anyway
