It is my pleasure to announce the awarding of the following medals to these gallant officers of the III Corps of La Grande Armee:

General de Brigade Einar Jon Masson is awarded the Legion d'Honneur 2; :frenchvive:

and Colonel David Billieres is awarded the Legion d'Honneur 1; :frenchvive:

These officers have received their honors based on the recent muster dispatches.

"Well", replies Der Jager, " I suppose they do have to give them medals for something, don't they? If they limit their award to only victories..."

"Ja, Herr General does haf a gute point", says Der Wurger as he takes another long draw from his frosty stein.

Ah, my fine Hanoverians (yes der Jager, you will always be known as a Hanoverian on this side of the hill), it is the muster reports the fine eagles of L'Empereur make recounting their successes upon the battle maps that serve as the guide to promotions and medals.

And there does seem to have been a lot of celebrating of late here in the tavern of such victories. :frenchvive1:

Indeed, 'tis a wonder that Helga can find anything left to serve the Coalition officers when they stumble in to slake their thirst (well, there is always that Jager Liquor... an acquired taste that somehow I have found myself acquiring...). :frenchdrunk:

Marechal Schmidgall, this sounds like are Hanoverian are some what jealous as after consuming that horrid drink they consider pleasant they can no longer remember their names - ( mind you they have that problem prior to consuming the beverage).
