Well, if that is the best you can do...

:frenchroll: :frenchroll: :frenchroll:

...and assuming that you are not willing to take us all with you...

:scottishduh: :scottishduh: :scottishduh:

...do try to have a pleasant, and safe, time.

Hi Gents, I'm not long back. Mark, you wouldn't have enjoyed it, too hot, I used to enjoy these trips when I was younger but the heat & humidity affects me now. I've managed to talk my wife into going somewhere cooler next year.

Hi Scott, your postcard should arrive sometime in 2020. Well...it is the Spanish mail system we're talking about. :frenchlol:

Hi Bill, courier sent.

Regards.

John, you may well be correct. With my advancing years, I find that I do not tolerate the heat and humidity as well either, however, as I do live in Georgia, it is a bit hard to escape. My problem is that as I grow older, I become more 'insulated', which is a plus in the winter, I do admit.

:frenchsad: Unfortunately I know all about that kind of insulation. :frenchroll: :frenchlol1: :frenchlol1: :frenchlol1: Take care.

Since we all three have similar insulation problems, I can offer a wonderful holiday venue next year. Come to "Winterpeg" and test your insulation in -30 C. Alternately, come in the summer and see if our giant mosquitoes can penetrate the insulation. Actually you would both be welcome to guests in our home anytime. Take care.

-30 C ! Holy frostbite! Why heck, that is a mere -22 F. I'm a Southern boy. There is a heck of a difference in our insulation and 'Russian' insulation. Once you start talking below freezing, I start tuning you out.

:frenchsalute: :frenchsalute: :frenchsalute:

I am sure I would enjoy the visit and fine company, but I fear I would be compelled to socialize indoors.

Having experienced Winnipeg in the winter - I can personally assure the fine Hanoverian that you would definitely be spending all your time indoors :frenchsalute: :frenchsalute:

-30 C now I could have done with some of that the previous fortnight....or maybe not.
Your kind invitation is very much appreciated Bill and I agree the company and the socialising
would be very compelling but to someone who travels abroad armoured with an electric anti mosquito
wall plug – spray – candle - wristlet and ankle ring the very mention of giant mosquitoes fills me
with dread. Of course I just blame my wife for the fact we carry all that paraphernalia around. :frenchlol:
I drink a toast to your beautiful country.

John,

Just received your postcard! Thank you! Just a bit unclear as to why there is a list of "Barbers" on the back?

Anyway, thanks for thinking of me!

The Spanish postal service must have hugely improved Scott. :frenchwink: Ah Seville,
I've never been there but by all accounts their oranges are good too.

I was actually in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. I would have been just as well spending my
time in a sauna but it's to be expected when visiting that part of the world.

Gentlemen

I am proud to call you a band of brothers (wolf pit buddies)/barbers (Spanish shower singers)/battlers (fellow warriors)/bearers (of glorious banners)/belchers (appraisers of fine liquor)/ besiegers (no wall is too strong an obstacle)/bluffers (Oh those great stratagems)/book-keepers (the great Napoleonic libraries of the world)/bootleggers (What, me smuggle some undeclared liquor across the border!), brigadiers (rank doth have its privileges and the fashionable uniform with all that gold braid) and builders
(of friendships and humor).
I can't remember the last time I found a thread of posts in the Rhine Tavern so enjoyable.
By the by, all those terrible rumors about Winnipeg are myths created by the Vikings (much like Iceland and Greenland) to protect the secret of "Vineland".
Take care my friends.
