On behalf of His Imperial Majesty and Prince Repnin, I am delighted to award Vincent Maddis with the rank of Polkovnik (Colonel) and command of the glorious Chernigov Dragoon Regiment. Welcome back, gospodin Pokovnik! My sincerest congratulations with your new command! The Chernigov Dragoon Regiment - one of the very glorious of Russian cavalry. For their mass exploits at the Battle of Hollabrun-Schengraben in 1805, the regiment was awarded with the St.George's honorific standard - one of the most first in Russian army. Their glorious name the Chernigov dragoons carried through all campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars with great honor and excellence. Hold up your glorious standard, Chernigov dragoons! Chest' imeyu! |
