Gentlemen,

We have some missing officers from our last two musters, who no doubt are engaged in campaigns far from the lines of communication if any has heard from any of the following fine officers please let us know. Hopefully the officers themselves may see this post and respond here so that they may remain active in the LGA

Lieutenant Colonel Mike Haley

Capitaine Hector Lopez

General de Brigade Monte Gray

Général de Division David Earls

Capitaine Stewart Crisp

Thank you,

Sir,

I have corresponded recently with both Lt. Col Haley and Capitaine Lopez, so I know they are out and about, just may not be in the tavern of late. Have you checked to see what battles the others are engaged in? If they have an ongoing battle, you may be able to reach the others through their opponents.

Cheers!

I see my name has been removed from command on a previous occasion, I was never contacted or informed of when muster was due or when I was removed, or that any attempt was made to try and find out why I hadn't mustered. If I don't receive a muster call by email then I miss out. You must lose a lot of officers using the present system. 12 years a member, thanks for the treatment, and I still have 2 games registered which I would like to register as ended but can't.

I will just have to get my opponent to do it.

GdB Smith, I am sorry to hear that. Paul, I am confident it was an oversight, but it does need to be remedied.

Since you still have active games and have brought the issue to light via this thread, I am sure that GdB Ozols and Gen. Kling will work to correct it.

Jeff, Lets not first assume that there was an error made in the first place. You are fully aware of the new rules regarding membership and the requirement of remaining active - These rules were also as you are aware approved by an overwhelming majority of the members.

I certainly have no problem with someone raising a question and seeking clarification but I do have an issue with someone blaming someone else for their own failure to manage their own obligations. My observations are

1. First off 49 posts in the forums in 12 years would hardly be perceived ( in my books ) as actively participating

2. Secondly it is the Officers responsibility ( and their responsibility alone) to muster - and not the responsibility of a someone who volunteers their time to chase an officer to muster.

I am sure General Ozols will respond to the question - but Jeff lets be clear the membership voted to require members to be active and they set guidelines which lay out what active entails - so the respective Army Headquarters and the Cabinet are obligated to follow the guidelines set

Since Paul stated he has maintained registered games, that would satisfy the requirement for being active. So, it should be fairly easy to straighten out without having to assign blame to anyone.

Salute!

Hi Paul, I saw your post here and started looking into the matter.
It appears from what I can see so far that there may be a mix up with your email account(s) listed with the club/DoR, etc.

I have sent you a message to the last email account we have for you.
If you receive it please respond.

If you do not receive it hopefully you will see this post, and as you are still apparently able to log into the forums, send me a PM via the club mail, with your current email address.

Don't list it here, as bots regularly cruise the forums sweeping for just that sort of information.

Once we have a means of contacting you established, we will proceed to get you access to the DoR again.

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Regards,

Paul, if there was confusion around an email account then this would explain why you would not have received the email call to muster.

However, the call to musters are also placed in the Rhine Tavern and the private army forum.
A member considered 'active' in the broadest sense might be expected to occasionally visit the website of the club to which he belongs.

La Grande Armee holds quarterly musters.
It has been this way for some time now.

You did muster in the first quarter of this year.
You did not do so in the second or third quarters of this year.

Your record would indicate that you had mustered in the previously held quarterly musters of 2013, and going further backwards in time as well (which includes the period when LGA conducted monthly musters).

Thus, it seems that the muster system was working well for you in the past.

The failed attempts at communication with you were the result of confusion around your current email account (it would appear).

When a member changes their email account, I would hope that since a club like this with several hundred members, that relies greatly on email communications, that you also directly informed those with whom you maintain regular official contact with.

Especially if someone has changed their email account multiple times.

I am glad that you were able to bring this to our attention, and I believe we will soon have the matter properly sorted out.

Having read through everyone's messages which I respect, it may be that I may have been at fault regarding my email address and for that I apologise. I will await the outcome of any decision made and will then consider my position.
