Salute!

And that would be one reason my family moved when I was a child from the Midwest to New England.

I was born in Illinois, Jim.
Moved to the east coast from Missouri.

Regards,

Ugh....

Too early for me to think of the white stuff just now. Reminds me of a couple of years back, when Halloween got snowed out by a blizzrd and had to be rescheduled. I think we ended up with over 10 feet of snowfall between then and spring.

I have had a snow here recently ;o)
When some Vikings in the past where kicked out from here (Eiríkur Rauði) for killing to many people he found a Icy rock and called
lot of family's to join him there ,when people where unwilling to leave from Iceland he told them that after a careful consideration that
he would name the land Gænland (Greenland) as to fertile ground and grassy fields ,he had not so many trouble after that getting people
to join ;o)
Later on when the son of this man Leif son of Eric found Canada/America he did name that Vínland (land of vine) do to berry's who where
easy to turn to vine.

We have not much snow here NOW ,but sometimes ...
Those days can be nice ,but also if Eric the Red or his son Leifur would be selling trips ,somewhere south :o)

Iceland (Ísland)
It is not so Icy at least not as Icy as Greenland
It was Ice around the land when first Vikings did come here from Norway
They killed all the people here (monks called Papar) and settled in NICE !!

It was the warmest Halloween on record here in England today. Like a mild summer day. It won't last though...

I am delighted to report that the foul weather in Illinois has remained south of the border. There is still no snow on the ground in Winterpeg. Moreover, I was delighted by one young lady's creative and hand made Halloween costume this evening. She came dressed inside a box, painted blue with white Recycling Box labels. The box was even equipped with a clever deposit slot for her treats. Nice to see that some families still take time to help kids make costumes.

Hi my friends

I'm getting carried away do to the season (who I love ,like people here)
I will putt in more videos as to mother nature trying to warm us Icelanders with ongoing small eruption ;o)
I the former posting you could see the tourists boiling eggs in the water here from the ground ,not related or connected to the eruption.
but not so recomended for tourists to do

There are people here filming Interstellar or something like that and and still we have the people from Game of Thrones here and not so long ago :
life of walter mitty ,oblivion , prometheus ,Noah ,James Bond (few years ago) ,new batman ,and so many recently who will be showed shortly I hope.

So my friends if wanting to visit here, Iceland is not as Icy cold and hard to live on as advertised by Eric the red (the Viking) in the past
and as you can see by some of the films here ,just in defence of my little country for foreigners (I gather most of you have not been here so much).
;o)
