Gentlemen Just a little clarification required from the new “Powers that be”. While recognising that if an Officer resigns they lose the right to access the forum for posting, this will also applying to those who are considered AWOL or have been ejected, however do they suffer any other sanctions? I note that an officer who has recently resigned has had posts deleted. While perhaps agreeing this may be appropriate from a dismissed member I can see no justification for it happening to a resigning member. On the subject of “deleted threads” could I suggest that when such an event occurs the title and originator’s name are posted perhaps on a spreadsheet which is accessible to all Officers? I am sure we all wish to look forward in a transparent environment. |

Evening Ernie ???? was my reaction too! David Andrews appears to have had an "airbrush" applied. Though at my ripe old age, not as ancient as you and still a year younger than Cliff I may be missing something. Even if this event had not brought "deletion" to the front of my meagre mind I had been considering asking for a system which would allow the ordinary members to know when posted are removed. I don't need explanations as to why but would like to know when they are deleted as which ever way you cook it it's "Censorship". Even if for the common good, now where have I heard that before ![]() |

It looks to me that those resegnation posts that were made in a reasonable maner/tone were allowed to remain for a reasonable time while the ones that weren't...well weren't. I believe transparency is indeed a good thing but like many good things it needs to be applied both ways. Regards Walt |

Jim, I hope that what we will see is what Pierre just did in Cliff's thread---if people are discussing the "past" in ways that are just people trolling each other, especially if it involves people who are not here to defend themselves, it will get locked and Pierre or Ernie will post something like Pierre just did "Lets keep this forum and post about the games and having fun. This post is being locked because it is not in the spirit of what this club should be about. No more recriminations or talking about what other clubs do or don't. Lets focus on this Club and how great it is. Positive posts and let's move forward. Thank you for your understanding." |

As for the whole thread, after some post where deleted I asked Pierre to remove the complete thread as what was left didn't make any sense anymore. As for why the post where deleted, it's likely because of some accusations that were written by someone who didn't look through all the crap that happened this year and thought he had to make a "statement" based on his wrong assumptions before leaving view. I just answered them because I thought it's a pity to leave because of wrong informations, but this is a free club and so you can choose who you belief. |

Gentlemen I thought this thread was to be locked but it appears "certain" responses can still be posted ![]() |
