What optional rules are common in pbem matches ( I would like to know to practice against ai and learn the rules ) then I can be better in pbem |

Everyone has their favourites. The set used for playtesting the HPS/Tiller games (and what I generally use) is everything on (checked) except Manual Defensive Phase; No Retreat overruns; Partial Retreats and Multiple Infantry Melee. Partial Retreats is automatically unchecked if you check No Melee Elimination - and I think most players prefer to check NME. |

I agree with Andy this is a pretty optimal set that many players use. |
