Hi

For some strange reason, my pc is behaving as if it is coming up for the first time. Lost my desktop themes etc.

Files like game installs etc are still there but i have to setup my outlook account again..

I Could be unavaiable for a few days

Horse is now dead..... Tried various ways to get rid of the "preparing my desktop" logon issue. Looks like my profile is corrupted.

Tried restoring to earlier times, no joy :(

Going the paunfull and looonngggg process of re-installing windows 7 etc.

Be hard to reach for a couple of days.

Suggestion: have a brand new profile ready to go in case your old one crashes. Windows profiles end up doing this and I had to go through something like 3-4 profiles on my other (faster) system during its tenure.

I create a new user account, open it up once, put some crucial things on it then keep it for later use.

When my current one goes kaput I can easily switch over to the other one.

I also use a login with username and password for my profiles. Some dont like to do that on a home system but that lets me know that the profile has not been accessed while I am away for the day. I guess someone could hack the password but so far no one has.

Rather than blow my current win 7 install away and redo all that, i am going make the jump to windows 10. :frenchvive1:

Reserved my copy... All i have to do is wait i guess until my time comes.

I keep looking at that little windows 10 offer on taskbar but am frit :shock:
