Gentlemen, this little gem that is in development since ages is still progressing. Here are 2 of the latest videos. Video 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkpT_yHwYrc 3 combat formations are used in HistWar: - The line that fights by fire. - The platoon column that charges and seeks contact. - The division column, mixing the 2 formations, which charges after firing. This video shows a combat of this last mode: division column against line. Video 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NImwJREOKD4 Melee: French vs Russian French: 1er regiment Infanterie de Ligne, colonel St Martin 2952 mens Order: Attack Leib-Gvardii Preobrazhenskii Russian: Leib-Gvardii Preobrazhenskii, colonel Kozlovskii, 3120 mens No order: AI manages the regiment behaviour This video shows 4 types of combat between French and Russian: - Victorious charge against Russian in line formation. - French charges before retreating without contact. - Double charge without melee, French flees before contact. - Double charge with melee. |

Yes it looks very interesting, massed formations etc and particularly the scenery. However, everything appears to me at least, to be moving far too quickly. I bought the initial (Grognard edition) many moons ago and had forgotten about it. |

I think that is, at least in some parts of the videos, time acceleration. |
