In one of my Eckmuhl games I noticed that the Rating on the icon of one of my leaders shows a B in yellow and in the details pane it shows Rating E. Its a Brigade leader and only his division commander is on the map. First of all yellow means he didn't make his check so how can the icon show B and even if his commander made the check and gave him a +1 he should have been D I think. Its not clear to me what this letter on the icon represents. Does anyone know this ? Manual Leader that has failed his Command Test will have his Command rating displayed in Yellow in the Hex Info Area. |

Hey Marco, That's the new indication of what command a leader has. Whether they are a brigade, division, corps, wing or army command. It doesn't indicate what his ratings are. Those still display in the details pane like they always have. |

Hi Scott, Thanks for your reaction. I was a bit confused by the letters on the icons but these are simply Brigade(B) Corps (C) enz. I checked the commands rates for the A03 Approaching Abensberg scenario in Eckmuhl. Bavarians: Div. Prince Karl August rating C white => made his check GB. Rechberg C[D] white => made his check and got a bonus from Karl August GB. Stengel D[E] yellow => failed his check but still got the bonus from Karl August (?) GB. Zandt E white => Zandt made is check so shouldn't this be D[E] ? He is part of Karl August's division Austrians Div. Kottulinsky D => made his check GB Hohenfeld D[E] yellow => failed his check but got a bonus from Kottulinsky (?) GB Weissenwolff E yellow => failed his check unclear why he remains E. |

No problem Marco! I'd have to look at the manual a bit, but maybe someone can chime in before I get to it. I'm not 100% sure, other than there might be some randomization going on. Kind of odd that GB Weissenwolff made it, but didn't get the bonus. I assume all are within the command radius of the higher officers? |

Just a guess, could it be that the bonus is only given to one officer who failed his check? I mean looking at Marcos list it seems that when two failed their checks one got it and the other not. |

That is correct, bonus should be applied to all, I think that is the point of bug. Have you checked other games on this behavior? |

I took a quick look at Marengo and Waterloo. As far as I could see, when a division commanders makes his check he gives a +1 bonus to his brigade commanders as expected. |
