2024 Department of Records (DoR) Annual Report Published

Gents,

The 2024 Department of Records (DoR) Annual Report has been published. It is a full report with all the data present.

We had another great year!

We really appreciate everyone who played games, posted on the forums or interacted with other members via email. We have benefitted from more folks who stepped up to lend a hand on each side of the club. Made some good changes in the Allied Coalition & La Grande Armée with more on the way.

For the Club Staff, leaders of the Allied Coalition and La Grande Armée thanks to you all!! Huzzah, huzzah, huzzah!! :frenchcharge:

Here's to another good year!! Hope you all enjoy!

The report can be found on this page:

Great work! I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing it. Professionally done and well-presented—a great example for my mostly sober staff officers of how reporting should be done!

A few interesting points to note:

Page 2
Waterloo, Leipzig, and Eckmühl are the most popular titles, which does not surprise me at all. However, Eylau-Friedland being at the bottom of the list is unexpected. I find it an interesting campaign with distinct strengths and weaknesses for the armies involved, engaging terrain, and plenty of operational choices.
1814 is another outlier, so I plan to give it more focus in 2025.

As expected, the Battle of Quatre Bras remains the never-dying classic and the most popular scenario in the series. Hopefully my AAR from this year does not spoil it but actually motivates to try other ways of managing this battle.

I would like to congratulate all Coalition officers on a victorious year in 2024, where the French could only manage:
0.93 Major Victories for every 1 Major Allied Victory, and
0.98 Minor Victories for every 1 Minor Allied Victory.

My respect goes to our French foes for handling the stress of these defeats. As we all know, it takes two to tango, and this magnificent result could not have been achieved without you!
:frenchwink1:

I would like to pass the gratitude of His Imperial Majesty Alexander I for the outstanding performance of the Imperial Russian Army, which outperformed all other armies in the Club:
2.22 Major Victories for every 1 Major Defeat, and
2.23 Minor Victories for every 1 Minor Defeat.

This marks a significant improvement over its already remarkable performance in 2023, which saw 1.61 Major Victories for every 1 Major Defeat.

This year our Dutch colleagues followed the Imperial Russian Army taking the second place with 1.61 Major Victories for every 1 Major Defeat.

The Tsar is proud of you all, and Paris eagerly awaits liberation this year, following the victorious 1813 Campaign.

Helga, drinks to all!
Huzza!
