Congratulations on yet another promotion Mayor Lasco.

Your name is mentioned with such regularity, that it would appear that you may have earned the favour of Alexander I, himself.

General-Leytenant Tartyshev will have to keep an eye on you lest you replace him as the Emperor's favourite.

Thank you for your kind words and generous congratulations. I am truly grateful for your encouragement.

I must say, however, that the notion of replacing General-Leytenant Tartyshev as the Emperor’s favourite is quite impossible. His reputation, experience, and distinguished service set a standard that officers such as myself can only admire and aspire to emulate.

For my part, I remain content to serve diligently and to learn from the example set by such esteemed commanders.

To reach the esteemed rank of Stabsoffizier (Field Officer) is a true testament to your skill. The Tsar clearly recognizes a master of heavy cavalry when he sees one. With you leading the thunderous charges of the Military Order Cuirassiers, the Coalition's center remains an impenetrable fortress.

May the "March from Warsaw" echo loudly over the fleeing French squares!
