​I am profoundly honored by this Beförderung (promotion) and the trust placed in me by the Imperial Command.

​To lead the brave volunteers of the Wiener Freikorps at the very tip of the Avantgarde is a duty I hold with the utmost pride. The stirring notes of Wien bleibt Wien! perfectly capture the unbreakable spirit of our Heimat (homeland). I assure you, the French eagles shall find no easy passage through our woods!

​I raise my glass to you all in gratitude for the celebration. Prost! (Cheers!)

Meine innigsten und ehrerbietigsten Wünsche zurück, mein Herr!
