eh eh eh sorry for that provocative topic subject but HPS will be releasing campaign Waterloo and France 1940 as its next titles .. so I was wondering ... maybe next HPS titles could deal with : Bien Dien Phu, Azincourt [;)] Stephane Austrian Oberst not updated yet Austrian Army 6th husaren Blankenstein finally figured out how to have the signature inserted in the post |

Well you can't blame HPS for releasing Great French Defeats, there's no shortage of choice[;)]and I'm sure it's purely commercial. They could equally be packaged with others as Great German Victories. Or Great British Lucky Escapes which could include Agincourt amongst many others but it's hardly a catchy title. |

Good luck to them; I think the French (or at least official France) place too much emphasis on national glory etc. I mean, naming the street in which the German embassy is located "Place de Iena", might be a bit unsubtle. I am French and I am satisfied that HPS will release these two games (Waterloo and France 1940).[8D] Then, thanks to HPS who gives us the possibility of taking our revenge! [:D] Especially in Waterloo, where the battle was for a long time indecisive. Lt Jean Durand 11eme division, 3eme corps d'armée Armée du Nord. |

Dear Ken, I know you are busy as the Mayor of London but would you consider changing the name of Waterloo Railway Terminus to Garde du Fraternite or something please. Oh yes, you might consider changing Trafalger Square and many other un-politically correct place names. After all we are truly appreciative of the efforts France and other Euro Nations make to carry out the truly helpful Commission's Directives. Major, 3rd Div, 2/30th Foot Regt. |

So it is a square, (or place), in Paris named after the victory over Prussia - hence the 'apparent' irony about the location of the Grerman embassy, which, as Guillame points out was sited after the naming of the place Regards Mark |

I have to say that I am partly responsible in one of those games (F40) and I didn't do it because I was masochist but just because it is an interesting topic and not as one sided as people could think...[8D] So if it can give some historical interest in that campaign my goal will be fulfilled...[8D] Otherwise we could say that HPS is anti-Russian with all those Russians defeats (for the Panzer Campaign Series) we enjoy so much[;)] or anti Austrian... etc... Général de Division David Guégan 11eme division Co.
