Too late Majoor Robinson! I have already purchased FM Jones' three Napoleonics and will soon be joining this fine club! I have a long way to go as I know nothing about Napoleonic warfare. [:D] French recruit, Civilian Brad Slepetz |

Hey Brad - glad to have you aboard soon. Lots of folks here are still playing the BG titles. After you get your feet wet a bit please remember to check out the HPS titles. Our club is devoted to playing both systems. Either one will get you lots of games. Oberst Wilhelm Peters 2nd Kuirassiers, Reserve Korps, Austrian Army |

Well the first thing that I should tell you is that you've signed up to the losing side. You'll discover this for yourself in time though. [;)] Welcome to the club. No doubt you'll be assigned a trainer. I suggest that in the meantime you have a look around for the patches so you can get going asap. Best of luck with your training. Don't be shy to ask questions here or in the French Tavern. Thanks for the welcomes, everyone. I look forward to beginning my training. Bill, I have several HPS titles for the ACW. Are the the Nappy HPS titles analogous to the ACW games? Also, could someone please list a general comparison of the two armies, such as which side is generally outnumbered, if one side has a morale advantage, ammmunition concerns, etc. I would appreciate it greatly. Austrian Line Infantry with their over 1,000 man battalions are very deadly. British and Russian Artillery are very good and the Prussians have a good mix too. It also depends on if you get into the various MODS. I am disappionted in your Brad going to those lousy French...don't say I did not warn you but read why Prussia is best: http://www.wargame.ch/board/nwc/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6620
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Generallieutenant Scott Ludwig Kommandeur 3. Because of this you're likely to spend more time in column slamming into lines of Allies. Other than that, the only other significant advantage is the command and control: the French is much better. Artillery, ammo, morale, etc are pretty much the same. Majoor Peter Robinson Commander I Corps Koninklijke Militaire Academie Adjutant 3rd (Prince of Wales's) Dragoon Guards |
