Gentlemen The bitmap is a 10x13 matrix is there any way of knowing what the units are supposed to represent? I realise they are generic but I feel brave and would like to tweek them a little. For example 9 and 10 are French Horse Art. with the same picture. Do I have to alter the OOB and the Unit.bmp for each scn. Field Marshal Sir "Lucky" Jim (K.G.) Assuming the files work the same way as they do in War of 1812 and 1776, the only time you would have to alter the OOB is if you choose a different icon to represent the unit in question. Altering the BMP file only changes what appears, i.e. what you see is what you get. If you move the icon, or add new icons for a wider variety (I have done that in both the above named games, and in all my BG games), you simply have to reidentify in the OOB where the new Icon is listed, i.e. what reference number the new or selected icon is.
