The 11th recepient of the RMA Medal, formerly known as the Best Shot Medal, is Generaal Majoor Macro Bijl, Commander fo the 8th Dutch Militia. The award is normally available to newly commissioned officers who achieve 3 victories, over 3 different French opponents, in 3 different scenarios, within 6 months of their commission. In the spirit of the actual award which was an annual competition, when we reinstated it last year, we also opened it up to all exisiting officers who met the requirements between 9/1/04 and 3/1/05. Commander Bijl's appliaction was previously lost in transit. Not doubt because he battles so deep in Frecnh territory. In any case, congratulations to him.
