Post subject:  French Victory in Waterloo Campaign

Mssrs.,

After the 1st battle at Mons, Wellington's Army shifted East to effect a junction with Blucher's forces. Alas for them, Napoleon continued his turning movement against the British Right, leading to an engagement at Braine-le-Comte.

Within two hours the rapidly advancing French cleared the thin screen of jaegers covering Braine-le-Comte and began deploying against the Anglo/Allied main line situated across the stream North of BlC.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Netherlands Dv was surprised by the French Ie Cav Corps & IIIe Corps, in march column, as it force marched from the East. News of its destruction in the space of an hour ran like wildfire through the Anglo-Allied ranks, demoralizing the balance of the army. Shortly thereafter, the Duke of Wellington formally tendered his sword in a brief, but dignified, ceremony.

Please join me in a toast to my noble opponent, FM Stefan Reuter. A gallant and determined foe, I look forward to our next engagement on the fields of Belgium.

Regards,

Paco
