Excellent appointment! Eugene with his small 587 room campaign tent, with revolving gun turrets and second floor swimming pool in the south annexe, will be able to take the VII Corps, in considerable style (not to mention comfort), to places I only dreamed of. I'm not sure about beaches in Ibiza - I figure the wind in Cheshire has blown straight across Eylau. So it looks like I shall be spending more time in the Saxony, where I am having my retirement chateau constructed on a small, but significant rise near the hamlet of Weissig. Regards Mark |

Congrats on Monsewer Maunsell! Way to go Barry. Nothing like paperwork and admin assignments to keep YOU off the streets at night! The Saxons always had good cavalry. If I was to join your corps it would be in the cavalry. Best horsemen in Europe. Bill Peters Fire and Melee Wargame site |

It is with great pride I take up the post of Corps Commander for this fine Corps. As has been noted the dress code for ALL officers will now be stepped up. My tailor has some new uniforms I have come up with, lots of feathers and other things to hang from ones hat. So off to the bar for a quick drink and then off to war. By the way......mines a double Marechal Eugène Comte de la Vendée, Duc de Francfort Les Companies d'Artillerie de l'Infanterie de la Vieille Garde. ex Armée Commander L'Armée du Rhin ![]() |

*The Kaiser places an immediate 250% tariff on the transshipment of all feathers through his lands* I see that the French decided that something drastic had to be done to keep the proud armies of Austria from waltzing up to Prussia and strangling General Ludwig. However, don't you think that putting the 750 piece Oompah band in Dresden is a bit extreme? General Ludwig... Just recall, that the day that HPS Puts out "Battles of Frederick", your name will be the very first I call. Eugene, Not to point out the obvious, but we are already at war with Austria. I trealize it is difficult to to follow along, what with Vienna being in French hands more often than the Kaiser's, but Austria is not actually a part of the French empire. Once you've completed a review of your new command, we can take a tour through the fields along the Danube. I hesitate to call it a campaign since the Austrians have no shortage of white flags, taken from their white uniforms, flying about. Got to hand it to them though, no other army comes to a fight as prepared to surrender as the Austrians do. Cheers! ![]() Jeff Bardon Duc de Castiglione Prince de Wagram Commandant de la Vieille Garde Marechal de l'Empire CiC- La Grande Armee |

We are already at war with them !!!!!! Otto break out the big campaign tent. Looks like the empire is in need of us again. Now about the white uniforms of these fellows, I have some ideas about a new one for them once they are part of the greater French empire Marechal Eugène Comte de la Vendée, Duc de Francfort Les Companies d'Artillerie de l'Infanterie de la Vieille Garde.
