Where can I download the series of battles of the winter campaign in Poland centered around BF Eylau (for NIR)? They seem to have disappeared from all download sites I could remember/find. I tried the original ones (still there, but the files not), NIR Project (gone entirely), Rich's SDC (moved) and the new location at StrategyZone (the files are not there). [|)]

Dierk,

I have the Eylau and Golymin-Pultusk discs.

My computer is not reading the G-P CD, and it won't allow me to copy the E CD files to my hard drive.

Both discs are from 1999 and 2000. It's been three or four years and two computers ago since I used them.

If anyone has any ideas how to get them working, I'd be happy to send the files to you.

The Russian site downloaded corrupt files, for whomever is in charge of it.

Would be very interested indeed. Lost the games as well, but really enjoyed them. Pultusk and Golymin were a gem...If anyone can dig them up....[:)]

The problem is possibly the newer CDROM drives. If you have one of the old computers around that still work, fire it up and try the CD in one of them.

It that isn't possible, try copying the CD's to another CD and that might work.

Dierk - can you give me a day to search one of my old computers?

I have a history of three PCs. Its not on the new one, the really old one has drives that I am having a hard time reading but the one that I just moved from is intact.

This is russian-language page but table of links is intuitive comprehensible and on english. Only one scenarios present but this is last version the most balanced for PBEM.

Time out error here, too. I'm on DSL, and the download started at 5 minutes, then never finished.

Try breaking down the files into smaller packets, and maybe it won't time out.

I have all the zip files needed. It will be a bit of a long job and a pain to email them all but I am willing to if there is no alternative. I also have Pultusk and Golymin.

Dierk,

I tried Ernie's ideas, and placed my CD's in an older machine (a friend's) niether disc would allow the files to be read or copied. They showed up in the directory, but would not open in the game, or Text Pad.

I guess the CD's are toast.
