If its the same as the HPS games do the following: 1. Make a folder on your hard drive that has the same folder name as the main install directory found on the game CD. 2. Copy the ptw.exe file to the new folder. 3. Burn it to a CD. 4. Try it out. If it doesnt work charge me for the CD!! Ernie Sands is the guy that can help you out. Ernie knows all! First, you have ONLY one cd drive? Well, there are probably a couple of solutions. One is to get a new CD drive. 2nd, if you do not want to do that, then there are some Virtual CD programs out there. 3rd, you could try a USB drive (I don't know if this will work, but do not see a reason it won't)and put your PTW EXE file on it. Then you would need to find and modify your PTW.INI file. Usually it is located in your WINDOWS folder. Now, make a backup copy of the PTW.INI, just in case. Using notepad or similar TEXT editor open the INI file and find: [Install] sounds=D:\PTW\ videos=D:\PTW\ cdrom=3 Check what drive letter your USB drive is, maybe "F". Then this would be the change: [Install] sounds=F:\PTW\ videos=F:\PTW\ cdrom=5 Save the file and place the USB drive on and try PTW. The game DOES need either a virtual CDROM or a removable disk to work. Ernie Sands GdD,1e Brig,1eme Div,VI Corps,AdR President, Colonial Campaign Club |
