I can now dial out, but no one can ring in. Great for my 56k modem internet access, but not so good for family contact during the holidays... Have you done a modem diagnostic check? Has your modem been set to be transmit only? Is some form of security software blocking any incoming packets? Cable is the best. And worth more dollar for baud rate than 56k rate. I hope you can get cable in your area. Its great. Nah, Bill, mate, no need for any of that. It was all the 'phone coy's fault - they had "inadvertantly" redirected my incoming calls to an "unknown number"! [:0] Anyway, I've only got one callout and one outlaw has called in the last 24 hours. All remaining calls have been for the kids, whose social life seems far superior to our own!
