Post subject:  Undisordering Supply wagons - how?

Ok, I started this Waterloo Campaign scenario with Richy Duggan before Christmas. Just sobered up enough to resume gaming. The Prussians start off fixed, disordered, disorganized and mostly in woods and orchards. Some have now unfixed but the supply wagons and artillery are still disordered. Never had this before. Any ideas how I undisorder the things? So far I've got everyone from Blucher downwards stacked on the guns but they refuse to undisorder, and in thick mud that means they are practically immobile.

I've never seen a disordered wagon!!

But units don't undisorder, in the Nappy series, in disruption terrain. So unless you can get them out of the woods or orchards they stay this way.

Some of the guns and wagons are in clear terrain. I've never experienced this phenomenon before, I've a feeling it's a dastardly French trick.

If they are in the open, and are army-level assets, they need to be within the brigade command range of the army commander to undisorder. (OK, they don't need to, but it helps.)

Interesting case. Since supply wagons dont have morale how do they pass a morale test?

Bill. Indeed I know not. Something must happen though as one gun battery has reordered itself magically.

Well, batteries have a morale. The wagons are vexing though.

Some of the batteries are in villages so I can't even limber them up and move them out. I assume they stay unlimbered and disordered for the duration of the game. I've a feeling that maybe the supply wagons will too.
Oh well, I'll just have to beat Richy with the one stick then.[:)]

I tested this out using the Wagram and new game engine I have for the next release. When the batteries were disrupted in any terrain I wasnt getting a note: x out of y units recovered from disorder.

I am not done testing this out.

The wagons would never recover. This is a good technique for a designer to use when he wants a column to be in a confused state. Disorder a bunch of wagons.

Other than that I am not sure why the units you cite were like this.

I will be sure to avoid doing this for any of my scenarios where recovery is assumed.

It also helps before you save a scenario for production to do a D test. Press the D button on the toolbar in the Editor and look around the map.
