Post subject:	Prussian players (HPS Waterloo)
The Jaegerdetachements--the independent skirmisher units that come with many Prussian regiments (that's actually the brigade level)--never seem to rally once they're routed. Has anybody else noticed that? Because it could be something that needs to be addressed. <center> D.S. In command radius, with a higher leader, and also within the prescribed 5 hexes of the other units, but since they don't have a parent ... Just curious if anybody else has noticed it or if I am just singularly unlucky. <center> D.S. Yes, now that you mention it. The Prussian skirmishers never rally once they have been routed. Rich will have to fix it. FM Sir 'Muddy' Jones, KG 2nd Life Guards, Household Cavalry

Dierk - sorry, I meant only Prussian skirmishers never recover. Add weather and terrain into the scenario and the skirmishers simply refuse to run uphill but stand and await their fate. Alexey - the Prussian skirmishers will recover as will formed units in PTW; chances are they will be isolated and wiped out though before they have a chance. To be honest I have yet to play a major game with Prussians in them. I have tried, but always had to end it early. Could be OOB structure problem interfering with the rule about needing to be within X hexes of parent to reorder. Possible Solutions: Engine change ... just kidding! OOB change ... make detachments into real units coded as infantry that can break down completely. As long as the strength is 100 or higher then the unit can detach skirm and keep parent unit on map. This will allow skirms to reorder. (or it should, and strength number may be a bit higher or lower.) [:)] Effects on existing scenarios should be NONE with above change since no additional units are added to OOB file. Prussian players would find formed inf coys on map instead of current skirms.
