Post subject:  French Command are Cowards!!
<center>Ok so before I took my little time off I as the illustrious French Commander in another club, the [url="http://napoleonicwargaming.com/"]1st International Napoleonics Wargaming Club (1NWCG)[/url] offered up a Tourney to the vast French army here and its high Command. Well knowing that my men will be crushed, but that they have better morale and spirit than the excuse of an army of France here. [:D]

Needless to say in my non-pursuiant way I have heard nothing from Bardon, Corbin, Stone, and/or Wilson on the topic. I saw a topic title post on it a while back, but nothing of avail.

So as was mentioned in the original letter I have to pubicly make fun of the French so here goes:

The French are all cowards, their command is filled with yellow bellied chicken hawks who are afraid of an army not even half the size of yours. [:)] At least the Allies would have shown up, but oh no, expect nothing better from you lousy French here. [;)] Sad excuse for any army, even sadder excuse for commanders. [:D] I think a three legged blind baboon could lead you guys better. [}:)] You couldn't even be led out of a paper bag. [:p]

Ok I think that does it, for my public embarrassment, I never followed up because of personal reasons in my life, and well I'm not actually gonna kick it off now, I just had to pull my end of the original bargain. [:p][:D]

Ok back to my corner now, but I do have another plan in the works. [:D] Mmmmwwwwhhhhaaaa!! [:D][;)]</center>

The Marechal stands up, all be it shakily, and wonders over to the Prussian's table...

"Your comments sir, would mean more if you actually belonged to an army worthy of the name. As it is you belong to a band of ragged, ill-mannered sausage eaters..."

and the Marechal saunters back to his table by the fire...

As Marechal Corbin resumes his place at his table the patrons notice another Marechal d'Empire striding deliberately toward the table of the impudent outspoken Prussian Prince. Straightening his tunic and placing his baton on the table while inadvertantly overturning most of the drinks there states in a loud clear voice, "Sir, must object to your characterization obviously you have been in this establishment too long this evening and the spirits have confused you! After repeated efforts to send and resend a game file from June to August of last year me and my partner Gabriel Rodriguez were forced to consider the game abandoned by the members of your club. I am however at your service should you desire satisfaction, I await your courier at the HQs of the Garde Imperiale once you have sobered appropriately. Perhaps a company level Battle of Ligny [:)]

Who were you playing?? I have no record of any such game?? But sir how much can I pay you to come and spend some time with us. Gabriel already has, he in the British over there and is currently playing one of my boldest commanders. [:D]

Sir I maybe Prussian here, but I am addressing you as the French Commander!! [:D][:p] I do recall one time you came our way over there, short lived stay, but none the less, if you ever wish to be a apart of a REAL French Armee, you are more than welcome to come back on a basis of time permitting schedule. Why sir you don't even need to pick up new games, just register your games here with us!! [:)] It's all in our policy. In fact we have some of your and other armies finest officers in our organization. I won't name names, but I will let you discover them. [:p]

Of course I would not say any of this if I was not schemeing things in my mind, would any of you expect less?? [:p] You so claimed French officers can look for a offer soon to fly your way in the breeze that blows from your behinds from me to challenge your said so finest.

Again you will most likely win, but the spirit of my men are greater than any of your claimed units of fame here!! [:p][;)][:D][}:)] In fact I will show you real honor!! High marks for style [B)] [:I] [:0]

And I must give you credit in that you did give ample warning, though I suspect the lackluster response from la Grande Armée had more to do with a lack of specifics as opposed to a lack of élan.

At some point in the future we can discuss a more detailed format, but I suspect that the response would be greater if it involved your Prussians here as opposed to your French there.

Thanks Jeff!! Nice to get an audience with the Top Dog! [:D] I agree with your reasons and I went through a bender in my personal life right at that time which is why I never followed up. Had that not occurred I feel we would be at each others throats right now. Though I am gonna work on a format soon and drop you an e-mail. It will be more controlled in terms that I am going to take my available top commanders and challenge you and yours in a set of multiplayer games. Since almost all of my top commanders are members here, your guys will get credit. I have done it before and the way I set it up with Geert et al is that it is registered just like a normal multiplayer game, but anyone who is not a NWC member just does not get added to the registration. Of course that is a null issue with us. [:D] Sorry, gotta stop those adverts. [:p]

But seriously give me sometime to re-poll my command since it just changed yesterday and I will get back to you. Maybe in the meantime you can poll your's and find out who you can come up with.

Of course Prussia may see a need in the future to take you guys on. [:D]
