A newly promoted young Russian captain entered the lobby of the mansion. He could hear ladies laughter and music of the military band trying to play waltz. There were clouds of tobacco smoke coming out of the banquet room. The captain threw off his overcoat and stepped in. He saw a group of English officers who took up position near the fireplace. Drinking whisky they held a boring conversation about the advantages of the last Parliament Act. Further he saw a group of Prussian officers. They were already drunk but kept swallowing up a huge quantities of bear while bawling: "Deutschland, Deutschland uber all ist!". A youth in a simple shuba who approaches the palace on a great akhal-teke horse. He enters the hall, dropps off the fur coat revealing dusty Russian colet with generals epaules. His face seems really exausted, but..... But you won't notice that all at first, 'cause the first thing you notice is the expression of amazement and joy on his face. He sees his friends from the Albion chatting in front of the fireplace, some Prussian officers singing something about the Vaterland and even Austrians who forgot for a moment about Wagram. But most important, he sees a lot of young, beutiful men dressed in dark green coats. His camarades, his best friends. BTW all with new epaules. But he has no time to neither to notice that, nor to ask what's going on. The shouts "Happy birthday!!!" are heard from all of directions, guns has set on firing once again..... .......He's not sure how much time passed, how many toasts were drunk. But he collects all of his will. He rises with a glass in his hand. "For you, my friends! For you all, who made this day impossible to forget!!!" The glass empty and broken. "And why on Earth no one is dancing?! Gentlemen, Ladies are so beautiful!!! Let the party go on!"[8D] <center>  </center>
