Post subject:  question about the "opponent finder forum"
Hi Sirs,

I'm new into the club and I've a question about the "opponent finder forum". It seems to me that recently several French officers have posted challenges and have some difficulties to find allied opponent. Is it the right way to proceed to find an opponent? Can you help me? Please understand that I don't want to hurt anybody by asking this.

Yes that is the right way.

The French are a warmongering lot and are always up for battle, but those ALLIED people, like the British, Prussian (especially the Prussian) and the Russians RUN AT THE SOUND OF BATTLE, so they are much, much harder to pin down to fight.

They are a slippery, sniveling bunch of would-be opponents, not like the French, who are stalwart fighters of renown.

To find one of these for battle, challenge them forthrightly and you just might find one that pretends to be able to sit tall in the saddle and defend their homes.

HAHA!! [:D] Not too long ago not one single smelly Frenchman could be found on the field of battle. In fact I am too busy driving the hordes right now myself...[:D][:p]

Need we even need to talk about their lousy commanders, especially that Ernie Sands guys...[:p][B)][;)][}:)][:D]

Well it sure does taste like chicken, no replies whatsoever to my challange posted out there.

I do remember at one point I had a preference for live games so it would cost 2 or 3 hours of live hands on as opposed to 2 or 3 months of emails but I don't know anymore.

Perhaps nobody really wants to play TalonSoft anymore and I should seriously consider getting one or more of the HPS titles.

It never hurts to own both series of games. You will find more opponents to play and be able to play in all of the club tournies.

If I were in the club I would take you on. I hate to see French officers pining away in the Tavern, sipping on someting strong and drowning their sorrows by the hour! [:D]

Once again we see Herr Windbagfrankfurter back in style. Lt Paviot if you have not heard from any of the so called 'Allies" by the 10th send me a line and we will play PTW: No Quarter in St Amand. I'll even command the lousy Prussians and give you pointers on how to increase their normal tendancy to run at the slightest whiff of grapeshot.

I'd take you up on the offer to play a live game as we tried, but no success on establishing the contact. [V]

Sorry about the turn, I thought we were at least into it. To answer the INWC question, Eckmuhl would be the best one to start with due to all the scenarios, and the MODS available too.

Duke of the Monorail....those Prussians run hard 'eh, like the Frenchies did after we spanked your hindquarters at La Belle Alliance!! [:D]
