it was joke of course :)

I made myself christmas goodies :) and bought two books.

1. "Bitwa pod Kaliszem 13 luty 1813" - battle of Kalisz - this was last battle on the territory of Duchy de Varsovie.

2. "Waterloo - german victory" of Peter Hofschroer. Nice german vision of 1815 campaign :)

TECHNICALLY, it was an anniversary present (my wife and I got married on Christmas Eve) but it arrived at Christmas:

The newly-remastered Bondarchuk "War and Peace" along with a promise to WATCH them with me...all 400 minutes...

Can't really think of anything nicer for the Nap-nut in the family :).

I must have been good as I got a new Toshiba laptop. Now I can continue games while away from the castle...

Oh, and also found a copy of "With Napoleon in Russia from the Memoirs of General de Caulaincourt" in a used book store, printed in 1935. Excellent reading. Also bought another copy of "The Campaigns of Napoleon" by David Chandler in the same used book store. Couldn't pass up the prices.
