Post subject:  Back to Nappy games modding

Hello gentlemen

I returned to Napoleonic games after some time of "rest". In the past years I was very active in the modding community, with the Nir Project and the American Civil War Cartography Office.

For the Nir Project I was involved on a massive work which had the goal to provide units icons to every unit of the Napoleonic era, working with Jakub Samek, Adrian George and Andreas Hetzert ...I can see that a lot of units icons made by me are currently used in a great number of mods which I can see all around.
The project above mentioned was never finished, but I still have a very large amount of stuff never released... I'm in the process of revisioning and updating the whole thing.

I'm posting the previews related to my current works at the "International Napoleonic Wargame Club" forum, here the link:
http://nwcg.proboards23.com/index.cgi?b ... 1168381106

Best regards,
Luciano Bassotti

...not yet ...at the moment I would like to work on games and share the result with the community rather than become involved in battles from the start.

Thanks.

Is it right to advertise for another club in NWC forum ?
just asking
A lot of players are members of both NWC and INWCCGZDTER (or whatever) club.
Just a remark : NWCG's forum remains for now a Bill Peter's free forum. (hello bill, how are you ? [;)] )
So, how long untill that other forum will get its Petersian invasion , with a lot of messages boring everybody ?

Stephane

So long as the posts are nappy related and for the betterment of our hobby, I see no problem [8D]. I am familliar with work this gentleman is doing in ACW, good stuff.

I'll draw the line at blatant spamming

Thanks Baron Corbin.

I really hope to work in a friendly and postitve community, and I'm sure that the greatest part of the people here wish the same.

If somebody find my post boring, may simply ingnore my stuff.

I'm new in both forums, and I didn't notice that there was an incompatibility among the two boards. I really wish to not be involved in such a kind of disputes.

I linked the other forum simply because it was an easy way to show already posted screenshots. There's no problem for me to re-post them also on this board.

I'm waiting instructions.

Best Regards,
Luciano Bassotti

No need Luciano. There's no dispute between the two groups. I think it was some humor from Stephane. [8D] But let's see what John says.

For the poeple interested in such a kind of stuff, I added some other sets of icons (provisional material, still a work in progress) and some alternative versions for the classification symbols for the units.

Cheers,
Luciano

Note please that the current files are only "previews" of the stuff under work, not the final versions; they are in JPEG format (compressed, so of a lower quality) and not in the definitive bitmap format. For the final versions I would like to complete each set with a description and the references for the units related to each picture.

Thanks a lot:)

I guess that in a month or so will be ready the set of icons related to the late period 1812-1815. However I'll continue to post other partial previews as soon as I manage to put together something new.
