Post subject:  Polish Cavalry Fact
The Polish cavalry of WW2 achieved a higher success rate of victory than their Napoleonic counterparts.

Source: S&T Issue #241.

The story that the Polish cavalry charged German tanks was a myth created by Nazi propoganda and perpetuated by folks telling Polish jokes.

The Polish cavalry did well against light skinned armored vehicles and infantry. They did run into a Soviet armored unit after the USSR invaded Poland.

I know that Tomasz can add alot more on this but I thought that you Polish lancer fans might find this interesting.

well, I'm not sure why you wrote this info here.

Polish history is primary for me and Tomasz too but this isn't good place for it I think.

Mainly a link to the Napoleonic era cavalry. I wouldnt put an article here on the Black Watch in WW2. Mainly about charging and cavalry. Sorry that this thread offended you.
