Whenever my 534 turn Eckmuhl game starts my opponent's replay, the hot spot jumps to this location ... but as far as I can say, Ed isn't there. [:0]

Those are my F117's Dierk. They're very stealthy.[:o)]

Its a hot dog stand. John specifically asked that I put some text there but I forgot. My apologies! [:D]

Honesly Dierk, I dont know. The game always opens up like that in any game to some non-descript hex on the map.

If you figure it out there is a free trip to Baghdad in it for you.[:p]

It's my understanding that the game opens up to the 'center' of your army, so as the center of gravity of your forces shift the focal point should shift as well.

Interesting thought, Al. [:0]

Ed, if you should now think that on that godforsaken field between Abensberg and the map edge is the centre of gravity of my army, you would be rather mistaken. [:p]

From what I can see, this appears to be the case. I did a little fiddling, and posted small groups in various locations about my map (using the 1776 game, but the principle is the same), and the hot spot would move to the central location of the units posted on the map. When I moved them, and opened the game, the hot spot went to a new location, still more or less centered within the units on the map. From what I recall, the Talonsoft BG games do the same thing.
