I need several folks that were having problems loading the PDT file Parameter Data from the Help Menu to contact me to test out new PDT files for the Six Days scenario. I just need to know if the NEW PDT file will load for you. If it wont then there isnt much I can do for you at this point. I have made up new PDT files for ALL of the "stock" (those scenarios in the main directory) scenarios. Provided I find time I MAY do this for the campaign scenarios as well. Noone likes to dig through 20 days of PDT weather data to find the values you need. On the other hand we will not be getting a separate tab or menu item for the Weather Data so for now this is my solution to the issue which was: 1. Folks couldnt load the PDT from the Help menu. 2. LOTS of weather data makes it time consuming to look through all of the lines. What I WILL do is publish the data in a webpage format. It will be EASY to read and figure out. I wont have this done anytime soon but it should help you all when you go to reference the data. (me too!) I also plan on doing up ALL of the data in a set of tables in a webpage so that you really may not need the PDT Help menu much after that. I am slightly dissappointed in the lack of volunteers. The reason is that I am fixing these files in direct response to comments made on this board or by email from some of you guys. We really need your input. Its a waste of my time to fix something and then find out it didnt help you out. Please contact me before the weekend. I want to put out the files to Rich and John by then. If the update doesnt fix your problem and you remained silent on this issue as far as I am concerned its a done deal. I don't have a problem opening the pdt file from within the game (although it does load rather slowly in this game) but I would welcome the tabular display of data you are proposing. I like what you have done with the weapons data in the Notes file with coloured tables - it makes it much easier to compare weapon types than looking in the pdt file for that information. Indidentally, I find the pdt data easier to manage if I copy it into a text file and then ALT+TAB between it and the game. It's a lot quicker than loading it in the game. <center>Lieutenant Colonel Antony Barlow ~ 2nd British (Union) Brigade, Anglo-Allied Cavalry Corps ~ ~ 4th (Royal Irish) Dragoon Guards ~ ![]() |
